Hey guys, I have a 67 nova, LS3, long tube 1 7/8" headers, 3 inch exh,T56 Mag trans, 3:70 gear car weights in around 3000 pounds. I would like to replace the stock GMPP LS3 cam with something that got a little lope. I drive the car a lot and I don't want to fool with low speed surge or parking lot speed issues. I would like to have some more bottom end and mid range. Setting at a red light with the AC on full blast is a major issue! Any ideas? Thanks.....

i have some stock LS3 heads, blue springs-the cam i am using is .580/.590 lift
should i upgrade to like PP's kit, something like .650 lift springs-are the retainers or locks built to allow more lift, installed spring height-thanks

I would say something around 214 in the intake side and maybe 218 or so on the exhaust side. Probably a 113 LSA. Here is a link to a ton of Comp Cam lobes. You will have to scroll down some. Maybe give Texas Speed and Performance a call. Also for best performance with a cam change you should get a new tune. By the way you would be surprised on large you can go on a camshaft and meet your goals with a good tune.
