Patriot Performance "Predator" heads. Any thoughts on using these.
I am looking to purchase these predator heads to put on my 35thle. Just a little breakdown of what else going on. The car only has 5000 miles on it!
Predator heads.
1.8 rockers.
Patriot 225/229 billet cam ( still in air if thoughts on a different cam)
Ported ls6 intake and throttle body
1 7/8 TSP stainless headers and Y pipe.
Wanting to go with the predator head because of the big deckplate. I plan on procharging it in a couple more years but want it to run good before also. I will not run it over 7-8lbs of boost.
Will this be a reliable setup?

There's better heads out there now for better prices and features. No need to port the ls6 intake. Leave alone if ur gonna run psi thru it. They cut em open to port em. That's gonna compromise the structure. Since they are basically 1 piece. Get a fast if u plan on getting a better flowing intake and have ported.
I've been 500rw n/a and 700+rw on stock ls6 intake with boost. No issues

I bet the Predator heads are a great head, but the standard Patriot ported LS6 heads reportedly across the web have a low bang for the buck value, so many people were turned off by their Predator heads, leaving a very low volume of reviews for them. For the right price, I'd give them a shot. Personally, I'll be sending some 243s to AI for their handy work!

Oh and I forgot to put in my post earlier. I'm running the Patriot 225/229 cam myself. It's definitely a street friendly cam. It peaks power at 6200 and holds to 6500 until it drops off. Very easy to drive. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a street friendly cam. I, however, am stepping up my game with some heads soon and this cam is going to get swapped for something a little more.. "mean"

I had the Patriot 225/229 cam as well with their Stage II ported LS6 heads. I made 449/426. I also had headers, CAI, FAST 90 and a ported LS2 TB.
Currently I am building a 408 and using the same heads. going with a bigger cam speced by Pat G. We'll so how it goes!!!
