Default got my 24x cam sensor and reluctor installed tonite but before

Just got the main parts of my 24x installed...question is what did you guy use to plug the water pump drive hole on the timing cover?I have a ewp and took the whole drive out, do i plug that hole also or leave it open? and if i do plug it ,again with what...a freeze plug?

freeze plug and some RTV. you could be really lazy and use a quarter.

I tack-welded a quarter then covered it with JB Weld .

There is no pressure there, so pretty much anything will work.

in the block the water pump drive, the splined shaft that runs off the cam gear

the hole in the block you can leave open. we thought you were referring to the hole in the timing cover.

both really lol.. ok just wasn't sure about the block and extra oil splashing around that's all and i'm having a hard time finding a small freeze plug too have a couple more parts stores to hit but two of the "big" guys only had 1 1/2" Thanks for the help guys!
