Information on lobe seperation angles, need help!
I'm looking at a camshaft for my Z28, doing some math on the TS 228R. What is the correct definition for LSA, and how does it affect power positively and negatively and when looking at a camshaft. Pretty much the 101 of LSA.lol. Thanks.

228r is a great street cam.....most people get them on 112-114, but i've seen a few lately get it cut on 110 LSA to kick the powerband down a little lower in the RPM's

smaller lobe separation promotes a earlier powerband, more aggressive but tuners will tell you they are harder to get right. Larger LSA will deliver a higher power band a smoother idle and more tunability. For 6 speed cars we like to recommend the 112 LSA because it provides the best powerband and it gets a choppy idle without suffering drivability losses.
