Default Trade advice wanted again, 00 frc vette m6 or 02 for M6- update

Ok trading the 09 Honda civic si w/rebuilt title for a vette and I have two guys ready for an even trade ASAP. One is an 02 C5 M6 targa coupe stock except corsa exhaust. 98k miles rebuilt title very clean. Other is 00 frc w/ 178k and clean title, m6 and stock. I like both cars pretty equal but the frc a hair more. Which would u do and why. Thanks

The FRC because it's more rigid and I prefer the look over the targa. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Hmm, I would never buy rebuilt title, but 180k miles is a lot.. Daily or toy?

Buy frc and just rebuild Engine when time comes

I think you can go wrong both ways. Rebuilt title will be a problem for a future sale, everyone will want to know the details of why totaled, what fixed, etc.

Other car is really high miles for a vette, it all depends on what has already been replaced and how well it was taken care of.

I would sell the Civic and keep shopping.

Ok, the car is gonna be my daily when I'm home (oilfield driver) so I'm rarely gonna use it, plans are ls2 or ls3 with mild cam, headers exhaust the typical. Miles don't scare me as the rebuilt title does just a little. Keep in mind my si is a rebuilt title although I have before pics from theft recovery scene to back mine up (never wrecked) point being I can't be too choosy although I'm not desperate id love to swap for a vette or ls2 Gto. Don't want another f body as I'm just over 30 lol and they're uncomfortable

Seems like most of the vehicles you own/have owned are rebuilt titles? You are pretty familiar with those waters, might as well go with lower miles?

I first owned a 99 frc and now a coupe. I miss my frc to say the least! If the body is straight on the frc I'd go that route. Put new shocks on all 4 as well as the sway bar end links as well as any other weak areas you may find after purchasing. Throw a new motor etc in like you already plan and call it a day. Oh may want to put some money aside for transmission and or differential as they may need refreshing. Good luck

Thanks ragu and yes the frc is grabbing me just a bit more then the C5, A-dub you too are correct sir. My daily drivers (last 3 civics) and my first 98 ss were indeed rebuilt title cars. I do buy the civics pretty much for resale and I do quite well with them. Just this last one I decided to keep instead of flip. Being its gonna be mine for a while I would rather swap for a vette instead of an si. The C5 is in incredible condition and has low miles plus corsa but the frc is a hair sexier to me. It is a very hard choice but I'm liking the higher mileage frc. Once I update motor (pretty soon after I get it) I'll swap tranny and rear end as well (plans are buy a totaled 08-12) and use what ever is interchangeable. I'll keep you guys informed snd much appreciate the advice, keep em coming too pls thanks
