I am going to be building a 5.3 in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if any of the LS based cams will work in the 5.3 build. Obviously cam selection, piston to valve clearance issues aside will need to be addressed.

Does anyone know what the max is for a 5.3 if using the stock pistons and heads without having to fly cut pistons, etc..

Unfortunatley I am used to building gen I motors, this(LSX) is all new to me.
