Default Aftermarket Steering Wheel install project. Need Help.

I just ordered a nice new Lecarra steering wheel along with the adapter kit that I pray will fit nicely to my 2000 Z28. After glancing over the manual for my 2000 Z28 there are a couple of "specialty tools" required to remove the huge ugly OEM steering wheel. I know these tools are almost impossible to aquire. Will I need these anyway? If any of you guys out there have attempted this kind of project, please chime in and offer your assistance if you don't mind- I appreciate it!!

Thanks.

The steering wheel puller will be necessary and can be rented from most autoparts store.

a standard pulley puller will work..for example one that you would use to get the crank pulley off on an LT1 motor.

i had my motor apart at the time and if i recall correctly i found that the water pump bolts fit the thread nicely to use the puller on the steering wheel.
