Alternator pigtail

Alternator pigtail
Mine didn't come with one from the junkyard, and there aren't any in the junkyard. Was GM nice nice and did they put the same plug in other vehicles? I'm doing a 5.3 in a crown vic with megasquirt as my standalone and I know how I will wire the pigtail up when I finally get one, but I don't know where to get one. Ideas?

You should be able to get one order at a good Parts store.. (maybe Autozone, O'Reilly, etc)
but if not, Try here or some of the other Wiring and Connector vendors.. (EFI Connection, Casper Electronics, etc)

I've seen them on the rack at bad parts stores. Usually in the HELP section.
If not Summit and Jegs has them. Or try these places

Junkyard
I scored my alternator pigtail at the local junkyard. It appears to be a very widely used connector for GM vehicles since the 90's. I found them on everything from V6 camaros to V6 vans, S10 pickups etc. Should not be hard to find. Since I was also grabbing a fan and solenoids the guy gave me the pigtail. Beats spending $30 at Summit! Good luck.
