performabuilt lvl 3 4l65e, car is a 00' trans am with d1-sc making 644rwhp 648rwtq transmission was performing flawless at 590 whp shifting great, now after i got pullied down and retuned it started hitting the rev limiter for 2 seconds before finally shifting into 3rd, drives around at part throttle great its only at wide open throttle that it does this, cant figure out why and the tuner said its not in the tune....

Sounds like speed or RPM need to be adjusted in the shift tables for the 2-3 shift.

Who tuned it?

It could be the vehicle speed sensor or VSS located in the tail shaft. Have the same issues with a performabuilt level 2 and even my tuner and performabuilt think it's the sensor so maybe try there

East Coast Supercharging tuned it, and he said he triple checked the tables and still does it, ill check the VSS i guess where is it located? inside the tailhousing or on the outside?

hoping more transmission gurus can chime in so i can get closer to narrowing down what the problem is

Well, this happened to me and sure enough my the gear band took a ****. It will eventually get worse my friend. The trans finally ended up not being able shift out of gear. I'm no guru, but can speak from experience. I just had it rebuilt for a second time. 3-4 clutch went out this time.

im hoping its not my 3-4 clutch pack goin bad....... RPM's lvl 7 may be in the cards....
