Default Fast 92 install??

Just finished painting my FAST 92. Think it came out pretty good. Would like to install it myself. My question is how many of you have done it? How long will it take? Difficulty?? Any insight is helpful.

I feel that anyone with half a brain can do this, super easy! could be done in under 30 minutes.. maybe not for a first timer.. but it seriously is very easy

Very easy, the bolts at the back of the intake are kind of hard to reach. I used a 1/4" drive with a 1/4" socket and a bit inside the socket to get to them.

Just get in there with some tools and start, you'll find that it's very straightforward. Don't forget to undo the vacuum hose at the back of the intake.

It's easy unless an intake bolt breaks which happened to me taking mine apart using a 1/4 inch drive ratchet :/

Now that I think about it, same thing happened to me... A buddy was tightening the last bolt and it broke in the intake. Luckily wasn't too bad to get out, but be careful torquing them down.

See i have the Time and Patience but being that I Am i first timer.. and dont own a torq wrench make me second guess myself. i was quoted 150 to have a shop install it... and 150 to Paint.. it i said to hell with paying someone to paint it.. and i did it myself came out decent. And that is why im leaning towards doing it myself.

Make sure you change out your valley cover bolts with the low profile button head bolts.

look for M6 X80mm button head screws at the hardware store, that is what I did. You might want to double check the size, but I believe M6 x80mm is correct. FWIW on those rear intake bolts, cut down some large straws and cut a slit into them. When you are putting the intake back on, this will keep them from touching the heads. Once you have the intake seated just push them past the straws, the slit should allow you to do this and remove the straws.

I was told to check my local hardware store and no one had them. Someone suggested to check Grainger, sure enough they had them. Save yourself the hassle and just go to Grainger.

EDIT: here is the info on the FAST valley bolts from Grainger
M8x1.25x30mm
Pan Head Bolt (aka Button Head)
Item #6EB66
pack of 10 bolts = $9.30
