Default Oil cylinder heads for storage?

Ive got some heads that i put some pretty big money into, i was planning on having the motor together sooner than later but as with all things life got in the way, anyways; I was wondering is it okay to oil the heads (mostly concerned with the deck and intake ports) then just clean it off with mineral spirits or brake cleaner when i want to install the heads on the block? Not sure if oil would seep into the pores of the metal and cause sealing problems.

Maybe a dumb question, i dunno

Stabil makes a fogging spray that is good for storing parts, or you could just coat them heavily in wd40 and the wrap them in plastic bags...

I have stored iron heads for a couple years by double bagging with heavy plastic bags and spraying down with a good water displacing product. I like LPS 3.
