98 SS M6 to TH350 swap
tired of the M6. looking at goin with the th350 or th400. does anyone know what all that take to do. I know the basics i need: the trans, oil cooler, vss, flex plate, converter. but what else is involved in doing this? any help would be appreciated.

You are going to need to run a aftermarket cross member that bolts the torque arm to it.
You will need a different drive shaft, that will very depending on whether you use a trans with a short or long tail shaft.
You will have to bypass the clutch safety switch for it to fire.
You have to cut the lower corners off the trans to get it to fit up. And one of the bolt holes on the motor wont be used.
I deleted ABS on my car so I use the drives side front wheel sensor as my speedometer signal. But if your hell bent on keeping ABS then you will have to run a converter box.

Over all its a really easy swap. If you use a long tail th350 you can use your stock driveshaft fyi. Your gonna need to buy a shifter for the 3spd and make a plate to cover up the hole in the trans tunnel. Where the factory m6 shifter comes through.
