Default 3" Intake Piping to 3.5"

I have not ran the car after increasing the intake size. Is there a formula for calculating the cfm increase? Theretically it makes since that I would loose boost in the tubing but increase cfm but since there is restriction in the intake I think that the cfm and boost will increase. I do not know how much this will increase. Does anyone have any thoughts or have done this themselves?
