Default Automatic Headlight Issue!!!

The car is an '01 SS Camaro M6. It has the auto headlight function. (Really annoying) I was driving the car and headlights were on in direct daylight. I tried my usual trick. Shutting the car off, then restarting it and not releasing the e-brake all the way, so the light on the dash stays on. No luck. ABS inop not on. WTF. It just started doing this... I remember reading something on this site saying there's nothing i can do about the auto headlights, so what may cause this.

Also my abs inop light is on occasionally...been doing the ABS inop thing for a while. But the head light issue just started.

Scan for codes to see why the ABS INOP light comes on.

You can defeat the auto-lights (its listed in the Lighting FAQ). Splice together the two wires going to the light sensor near the alarm indicator light in the defrost vent. Be very careful with the dash though since some have become brittle with age and can crack.

You wouldn't have this problem if you owned a Cobalt SS. Just sayin.
