Looking to swap a ls into a second gen camaro. I have no clue which engine to start with,3rd gen 6.0l or 4th gen 6.2l.This is going to be a driver with either a 4l60e or 4l80e,camed and on nitrous.I have read several threads on this site on the different ls engines and i am confused lol.There are so many different choices i don't know what to start looking for, Any and all help would be appreciated. id go as big as you can afford. at least an ls2 or ls3.

you probably get into a ls2 cheaper then a ls3 .look at SDPC for prices on crate motors if you are buying new.you can find use 6.0 ls2 motors for $2000 .check Texas Speed for ls motor short and long blocks .consider a ls2 stroker motor ,402+ ci .you can get a stand alone ls engine system from edelbrock for $600.

Id have to agree with ultimateoranges. I would at least get a LS2 minimum.

And as mentioned below, check those places for prices, you can always find a good deal.
