Default Biggest cam for MTI 5.3's cut .030"

I have the opportunity to get some 5.3's but they are cut 30 and I would like to know who's running the biggest cam. The specs of the cam I am looking at are 232/237 577/577 114. Also what do you think the CR would be on these suckers?

Jeff there is really no way to know what will fit without trying it out and claying the pistons. The lift isnt really that big of a factor it is the duration that will cause p/v clearance. There are quite a few people running around this board running the FMS 11 "228/230 .581/.595 114+4" on 5.3's milled .030. Like I also suggested if you have a cam that is too close for comfort just use the cometics that are thicker than stock. and also like I said CR should be around 11.25-11.45 the only true way to know is to have the CC the chambers, but others I have talked to confirmed the same about the compression.

W/ .030 cut, that 232/237 will probably not fit SAFELY without cutting the pistons. The only real way is to check, but from my personal experience it's not going to fit w/ .030 cut off. I installed an X1(230/227) cam and w/ .030 cut off the heads it was CLOSE. It was safe, but CLOSE.
