Is a 4l60 out of a 2006 silverado the same as a 4l60 out of a f body??? If not why?

Yes, basically all '98 through '06 4L60E are interchangeable, BUT ONLY for the same style 2WD or 4WD. As I understand it, there are differences in the tailshaft housing for different mounting styles, but that is easily swapped as needed. No differences electrically.
