How much HP should I have?
Swapping my 5.3L into my S10 this spring with a 4l80e. Heres some specs what have and what im running.
05 5.3L FLEX
Flex fuel 33lb injectors
LS1 intake ( if i decide to swap, its gonna be a FAST. Screw the LS6 lol)
BRP 1 3/4 Long Tube Headers
PAC 1218 Valve springs
Comp 228R Camshaft
7.4 chromoly Pushrods
Stock 1995 4l80e. Also need recommendations for a good stall converter. Im not trying to go "ALL THE WAY" out as i make minum wage lol. Btw this will be my daily.

If you want to go fast, the convertor is the last place you want to not go wild. These motors make their power up top, so a loose stall helps them get out of the hole hard and into the powerband ASAP. I would not go any smaller than a 3600 IMO. If my car was auto, it would have a 4000 in it right now.

I have a Yank SS3600 and I am very happy with the overall product. The converter is somewhere where I would not try to buy the cheaper one, I would only buy the best. Many people run Yank, Circle D, Vigilante converters in their cars. All are great converters.
