Default Hp tuner not reading car

I got the drivers for my MVI pro and installed it successfully but when I go to read the tune in the editor when it gets to the VCM part it fails. I tried to relink VATs and it fails. Any insight on this? Thanks.

Are you trying to read a locked tune?

Thing is that may very well be it. This car was tuned prior to my ownership and I don't know who did the tune or what was used to tune it. Not sure what I can do in that case.

^ Thanks for the help. I actually got it to work. It was a simple problem. Replaced the USB and it worked fine so it must have been something with that. Found out the car was indeed tuned with hp tuners by some searching around on here. I posted another thread with the tune from my car hoping to get some tips on if the prior tuner did a good job on it.
