New steering rack is shorter than one I just pulled Hey guys,
Replacing my steering rack tonight. Got the bolt cut pretty easily and pulled the rack out to take a picture next to the new one.. and I notice a slight.. difference..
I have the FE2 option, so I ordered the rack for the FE2/FE4/FE7 options and this is what I got. The receipt says the correct rack.
Did they send me the wrong rack or what?
It literally looks like the ends are on the wrong sides.. can I maybe change it myself?

There's no tie rods and the rack is in a different position than the original. Get those things squared away, then decide if they're different. They're obviously going to look different when one has the wheels cranked to the left and the other has the wheels mildly turned to the right.
