Default loud gears hurt my car?

Hey guys, just had my gears changed to 3.73 in my 2000 z28. In my opinion they are making way to much noise. of course I was told thats how they should be, but I know thats not true. Will this cause any damage to my rear or to the gears I had put in.

yea some gears are noisy. mine are within .001 of recommended tolerance but are really noisy. if your's are within the specs and installed correctly it should be fine. did you replace any bearings? crush sleeve?
