Default Thinking about a ws6

Before I make a mistake like I did my last platform in the beginning I figure I get advice 1st.

Like the 2001-02 ws6 cars.

Any things to avoid? Whats a price range on these cars? Here are two examples in my area, one auto one manual. Good deals or not??

Thanks for any input. I'll be reading as much as I can on here.

As with any used car, look for the usual items. Since you will be reading about the unique issues (headlights, door panel cracks, etc..) with these cars I will just add that you really 'get what you pay for'. Buy the best example you can with the lowest non-abused miles, preferably a one-owner 'stock' example if your budget allows. The price ranges go from high mileage abused $5,000 cars all the way up to $20,000+ for the sweet, almost showroom examples. You name it, you can get it in any price range. What price range are you in?
Also, CL is probably the last place to find a nice ride. Sure there are exceptions, but a place full of scammers and improperly described cars is not the way to go IMO. I won't look there and I rarely give opinions about cars listed on there. If an owner is too cheap to post on autotrader or other 'pay' sites, then that can speak volumes about the car.

You can get a nice car for 8k.. 10-12 will get you a lower mileage bolt on car.
