2000 Camaro Z28 v8 manual 6 speed, I get a grinding noise when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear and sometimes 2nd to 3rd. I see some other post saying check the fluid level. I asked a mechanic at a local garage and he said possibly the synchronizer might be the issue. Any ideas what this could be?

yeah probably the synchro keys, My 2-3 is starting to get bad too
