SBC offset bushings on an LS1?
Anybody use standard SBC offset bushings on a stock LS1 cam timing gear successfully? Also, will a SBC cam bolt lock plate fit the LS1? TIA

We use the bushings often with great results. The cam lock plate is a different pattern. I have always used red loctite at 22 ft lbs with good results.

Nuzee, We drill the 11/32 hole only deep enough to hold the bushing from the backside. Then the bushing is captured in the gear.

Just a couple of more questions, any chance of the bushing dislodging and dropping off? If so, any way to keep it in place? TIA
