Default problems after replacing differential

After I broke my differential the transmission would not engage in drive or overdrive unless I shifted to 1st or 2nd. I replaced the differential and it still wont engage unless I manually shift to 1st or 2nd. Anyone got any ideas?

Probably broke the one way sprag (also known as the low roller clutch) in the trans. I am guessing your rear locked up or broke violently on a launch?
