Default Aftermarket Harness Fuel Delivery Question

I've mechanically installed a 5.3 in my 1998 F150. Now I'm doing the electrical part. My aftermarket harness has a wire for a fuel pump. I'm getting fuel pressure through my F150 system. I haven't fired it yet but I'm getting over 60 lbs in the key "run" position. I want to maintain the F150 fuel pump activation because I want to retain the fuel shut-off safety feature in case of an accident. What function would the aftermarket harness fuel pump wire have if I'm already getting pressure and decide not to use it? Is this going to cause the GM ECM to malfunction? Is the F150 system going to continue to supply fuel if the F150 ECM is no longer getting engine feedback?

One more question. Where does my fuel pump regulator get it's vacuum source from?

Thanks!!
