5.3 Avalanche more power
I have a 5.3 L Avalanche with cold air intake and just put a NV4500 5 speed tranny in it. I have a super chip in it but plan to replace that with probably an HP tuner. I need more power out of it to turn over my 37" tires and pull a trailer. On about a 3000$ spending cap. What should I do?

Full exhaust, GEARS, intake and a REAL dyno tune is what i would do with that budget, after that i would cam swap, and work the heads just a little.
What year? If your still running mechanical fan you could do an electric fan swap, free up a couple ponies and cool your engine better for towing, would be a good upgrade if your getting a tune anyway. If you do have the mechanical fan still youll need to find out what size radiator you have to determine how to go about it, 34" radiator in the new 5.3s swap with fans into the 06 under trucks, however some trucks with the tow package came WITH the 34" radiator and mechanical fan, so you simple get a set of new style 5.3 fans, wiring harness, tune.
PM me if you have any questions, i have a 03 5.3 sierra i mess with a lot
