Default Transmission Slipping Need Info!!

The trans in my car runs very stong in 1,2 but it will shift into 3rd but will just rev up the car will shift into 4th and rev up to about 3000 rpm before its starts pulling as long as you ease the throttle in 4th it will pull but if you get on it any it just slips. I can feel it shift into every gear so that leads me to think that trans is good just needs clucthes if anyone could give me some info on that or if i could just change clutches and go and how hard that would be thanks

Thats seems like clutches problems, you might need to install new clutches. I have you tried just tuning the transmission?

That sounds like common 3-4 clutch failure. You can replace just the clutches and scab it back together. It might last for a little while but having it fully rebuilt is the best way to go. By the time you pull the trans, tear it down, stab some clutches in it and put it back in, you might as well do it right and not waste all the time doing it twice.
