Default Who's tried this weatherstripping fix?

Basically you take 3/8" foam backer rod used for per-caulking to expand the door seals back to their original size by inserting it into the seals. People have also used silicone or vinyl tubing with similar results though I feel those materials might be a bit too rigid in the winter months. I was thinking about picking some up tomorrow to give it a shot. Who's done it?

That's actually not a bad idea. I may have to replace mine though. Found a tear/break in the t-top seal this past summer when I was massaging them.

(Gotta work em when you have the tops off!)

God... 10 years and the frickin thing has to get replaced.

I though at the price of new weatherstripping, I wanted to at least attempt a cheap fix first.
