Default Log manifold design/material question.

I'm having to make a passenger side manifold do to room constraints. The plan is to make a log style manifold, I was wondering if mild steel 16g exhaust tubing(2.5/2") along with normal 1 7/8 primary tubing would hold up.This manifold won't be bearing any turbo weight and simply just be connected to a crossover pipe.
Thanks.

That will be fine but why the large primaries?

More of just a number I threw out there to help understand the idea, it'll most likely be 1.5" primary tubes to closer match the stock truck mani on the other side.

You could modify a truck manifold to a forward exit. I have one if you would like pics.
