converter lock at wot
I was wondering if anyone was letting there converter lockup in 3rd at wo throttle. I didn't think it was healthy on the converter but I believe I've heard a few cars at the track drop just a few rpms just before the go though the et cones. Sounded like converter lockup. Seemed to subtle to be a 4th shift.

LT1 F bodies lock the TCC @ WOT from the factory. 3.23 geared cars lock @ 95 MPH & 2.73 cars a little higher. Most 1993 & newer 4L60E trucks lock WOT @ 75 MPH.
My testing has shown zero difference in ET or MPH with my NA LT1 car. Turbo & nitrous cars often do like it.
It is a lot more obvious listening to a car with a higher stall speed converter locking.
