Default Interchangeable exhaust components?

Forgive me for this possibly dumb question, I'm still kind of new in terms of modifications... I am looking to convert my T/A to an x-pipe system, and have noticed that the ones for sale around me are either really rare to find or overpriced for what is being offered. However, I can easily locate brand name (and affordable) x-pipes for mustangs. Is there anything keeping me from just buying the x-pipe and fabbing the rest of the system? I figure it shouldn't be too hard, considering that a few universal-fit x-pipes are well repped around here. But I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong. Thanks, all!

Why not just buy a universal X and order all the bends?

Given the price of a universal one, it's almost twice as much considering shipping/handling than the one I am looking at: Bassani x-pipe with cats. I am also kind of wanting to know out of curiosity, haha.

Because of our TQ arm placement, TDs are picky with our cards.
