hi guys I am wondering what to look for if I'm getting detonation on my car. I don't think my knock sensor is working. I heard you can check the plugs and be able to see if has been getting knock.

Yes you can tell by the plug. The porcelain will look like you took a pepper shaker and peppered up the spark plug. If you have a light with a magnifying glass like a doctors light then you will see alot of those specs will shine. Its actually molten piston and cyl head that sticks to the porcelain. If its detonating you need to find a solution quick. Detonation will hammer out your rod bearings in short order. If you are running cast pistons it takes very little to break the ringlands in them.
