Default poly mount on M6

I have recently installed an poly mount on my m6 and the vibration is driving me crazy .

Q: is I am running solid mounts if I go back to the stock trans mount is it going to cause any issues,

I know stock is good for 450hp and im over that , but if a man is running solid motor mounts is there that much twisting on the back of the trans will the stock mount work , or do i just need to live with it (DD car)

thanks guys

No, it's not going to cause any issues. If you're worried about something causing issues with trans, I'd get a TA relocation trans crossmember(UMI,BMR,..).

Did you install the Prothane or the Energy Suspension? My Prothane has given me NO issues at all. I've read horror stories on here about the ES though if you use the metal plate it comes with.

I have a question/idea. Im in need of a tranny mount and I have a Energy Suspension one sitting in the box but I dont want to install in because of the nasty vibrations it caused. Would it be possible to "cut" it down to the stock height? Does anyone know that measurement?

Just trying to use what I have and fix the vibration problem.

With the ES trans mount which has the two preload bumps you'll want to leave the preload plate off and if necessary grind or cut the two preload bumps down flat with the 2 mount ears on the ES mount. FYI the factory trans mount will compress down more than the poly mount will when mounted, and over time the factory mount will stay slightly compressed even when its not mounted, also a new gm mount should be slightly taller than 1.75" when new.
