hi im new here !!

im planning do a v8 swap on a bmw.

so i cheking what are option and i see some people do mustag 5L swap and run 2 shorty passenger headers !!


it is possible whit an ls engine ??? because this is a cheap solution do avoid doing a 3u-joint sterring shaft or custom headers !!!

i dont see any reason why you couldnt. turbo guys use reverse mounted manifolds all the time. probably get better results from a custom set of headers tho

i dont think youll have a problem at all..like ^^^ said, i myself have flipped exhaust manifolds facing forward for my turbo setup and never have had a problem, nor have the other ATLEAST 150+ cars on this website have had problems that ive seen.

thx im happy to know that because i prefer do a ls swap than old 5L fsi even if this one is really cheap


what kind of problem can occur ?? exhaust leak ?? or broken header ??

because i will never put a turbo on this is just a way to bypass the sterring shaft issue, an ls is enough powerfull for me this bimmer will be my daily drive so i plan around 400hp

Your best bet is to spend some time in the conversions and hybrids section , many documented builds including BMW in there.

That's where this type of conversation usually takes place and it is extremely active section where you can get advice from people that have done swaps
