Simple AFR "Eliminator" Cylinder Head Question.
I am considering buying a set of used AFR 210 "Eliminator" cylinder heads.
Problem is, the person I'm buying these used heads from, says he bought them, (directly from AFR) ....... in either May or June of 2007.
Could these heads still be the older style AFR 210's and NOT the "Eliminator" series AFR 210 heads???
When did AFR discontinue their older 210's, and replace them with the "Eliminator Series" heads ??????

look near the exhaust valve...
If they say AFR then they are eliminators, if they say something different they are the older ones. I belive they stopped making non-eliminators in 06....

These heads DO have "AFR" cast into the exhaust side of the cylinder head.
You're thinking AFR started making the "Eliminator Series" heads in 2006 then?

Yes, I spoke with AFR the other day on some heads I bought second hand. They said in 2006 they switched to the Eliminator style heads. If they have AFR cast into the exhaust side, they are post-switchover. If they just had AF cast in the same place, they would be pre-eliminator heads.
+ 1 on their customer service. They gave me a ton of info on sprins, retainers and correct valves for my application. Awesome to deal with.
