Car battery clicking while charger is hooked up

Car battery clicking while charger is hooked up Hey guys
My Trans Am's battery is completely dead. As I hook up a 2amp charge to it to charge it up, it is clicking a lot.
I haven't heard of this noise before and am wondering the cause. The battery is dead probably due to a door being left open or something. I've been working on the car for a month or two and forgot to leave it maintained with a full charge.
Please let me know what you think it may be. Thanks!
