Default Which transmission? On a tight budget, CHEAP is GOOD

Trying to piece everything together for a total cost. It's going to be mated to an LR4 4.8 and dropped into an E30 convertible, so won't have much TQ behind it but could see RPM in the 7-7.5k range. Cheapest I could find a t56 magnum or tr6060 was around 2000-3000, 5 speed is okay as well, just want something cheap for now, thanks!

They're awesome little cars, mine came with an LSD diff and it makes even a 4 cylinder fun lol Pick up another, swap kits for e30's go for around 1500.

What are you going to use the car for? Do you need an OD trans? Cheapest OD trans might be a used V8 f body T5, but not terribly strong. A 4 speed Muncie/T10 can be found cheap, but no OD.

It's going to be my DD, yeah I was looking into the T5's, but I'll be better off waiting for a good deal on a t56, everything LS related is expensive in CA, thanks guys!
