Default ls1 98 vs ls1 99 heads

I know they changed the valve covers, did the head design change too? Will 99 ls1 heads work on a 98 with the old style valve cover?
thanks
Steve

If you switch over to 99 heads you must switch over to 99 valvecovers also, they don't flow anybetter or worse that I know of.

I see, so the 98's are center bolt and the 99+ are perimater bolts? How much do a set of 99+ valve covers run?

You have that backwards. 99+ are centerbolt and 97-98 are perimeter bolt. Check the For Sale area for valve covers.
