Default What kind of brake fluid do I use

Hay guys I have a 99 camaro ss a4 and I was thinking of buying some nice power coated red brake calipers so if I buy them I have to bleed the brakes so what kind of brake fluid do I use in my car I never changed the fluid in it the reason why I have not changed it because when ever I check it out I have the Mechanic check all my fluids and they always tell me that my brake fluid is good would like to know what is the stock brake fluid and if I can get it at a parts store or do I have to get it from GM thanks

You can basically use any DOT 3 it's all about how much you want to spend. Just use a new, unopened bottle and get alllll the old stuff out. There are "racing" brake fluids available but that is for extreme applications and is not necessary unless you really want it. They come in blue and amber. Maybe other colors too. Valvoline makes a "synthetic" DOT 3/4 you can use. But as long as its fresh new fluid, that's all that truly matters.
