Default maf swap?

ok ive been searching for an hour and cant find an answer. i want to put the truck maf on my ls1. can i just go to a junkyard pick up the maf and cut the harness from the donor, splice in the iat sensor wires and be done? well after a tune of course. if anyone can lead me to a thread i would greatly appreciate it.

You need the 3 pin-5 pin adapter... Caspers and I think Racetronix both sell them for fairly cheap.

yes i know i can do it that way, so you cant wire in the harness from the vehicle im getting it off of?

I ran across a thread about a year ago of a schematic for doing that . I bought the connector for $25 bucks . I like the idea of them "Plugged" in , and no project .

I wired my 5 pin connector in to the stock harness. It looks factory and clean.
