Default Clutch master line going to slave, my problem?

Has anybody have this problem with the quick connect going into the slave go bad? I have been batteling hydralic issues for weeks, did the drill mod on the stock master and has had problems ever since. Put new master on from advance and it failed in weeks, they have me a different one and it looked identical to the stock gm one, all the same markings. I bench bleed it, put it on, and can't seem to get it right. Now after looking at the stickies and a couple different threads. I kep the master on the car and disconnected the line going to the slave. The pedal is firm but a lil spongy at the top. And now I get to my question, when I was bleeding just the master, I put a small screw driver to open up the valve, pushed the pedal to the floor, closed valve waited 3 sec and released the pedal, I tap the pedal with my hand a noticed the little valve at the quick connect close a lil more, it's like it's not closing all the way, has anyone ran into this before?
