Can anyone help me identify this transmission?
At my friends salvage yard, they is a 95 camaro, 3.8? V6, with a standard trans.
This should be a T56 correct?
He took a picture of the vin, posting now -

If it is a t56, my friend said it should work with a 4.6 Mustang V8 temporarily till my 6.0 (LQ9) Iron block gets built and I can get an ECU and harness.

If it's a v6 then no, it's a T5 5 speed and I think ford's a GM's have different input shafts. Also it's probably a 3.4L most 95's where, 3.8's didn't come out till late 95.

You have a 14 spline T5.
If you have a 96-99 4.6 It uses a T-45, which has a different input shaft and bellhousing.
If you have a 00-04 it is a TR-3650, which both have a 10-spline input shaft I believe.
Only the 2000 Cobra R and the Terminators got the T-56. not sure about the newer mustangs
