Default Kicker ZX750.1, what can you tell me about it?

I was given this amp today, not for sure if it works yet or not, and was wondering if its any good or not. I have a 00' Hawk my setup is

Pioneer AVH-4300
Fronts: EU-61CV components
Sails: EU-6CF
Hatch speakers have been deleted
Sub: HD-1000CF DVC 10' wired@ 4ohms
JL XD700/5 amp

I will be the first to admit car audio is not my thing, I know nothing about it. I ordered this package from Ian@Kee Audio and love it.

Would there be any benefit running the Kicker amp for the sub and the JL the other four channels?

Since the JL would be running on four channels instead of five would it push more power to those four speakers?

Should I stick with what I have?

Thanks for any input!

that kicker amp will give you 375 watts @ 4ohms vs the 180 watts at 4ohms that youre getting now to your sub. not using that 5th channel on the jl amp will not give you more power to the other channels cuz the power to each channel is separate

I can't remember why I wired my JL to 4ohms for the sub. I would have to look at the instructions.

Quote from Ian,

"You can't run it parallel as the amp is not 1ohm stable on that channel and could damage it if it is not made to run at 1ohm. 2 and 4ohm is fine on that amp. Remember double the power is not double the sound output, it only increases about 2-3db. With the bass boost and tuning the sub channel you will have plenty of bass."

So if this kicker is stable at 1 or 2 ohms I guess I will try that. I'm going to shoot him a PM and see what he has to say.

It's 2 ohm stable. Keep in mind, 750 RMS is a good bit of power in a hatch.
