If it is what they say it is in its in good condition that looks like a good deal. I would try to figure out why that price is that way and make sure all the decals and the vin check out. Get them to run a report for you to show you if it has been flooded or has frame damage that you possibly can't see. At that price I would be afraid its been rebadged as a Z instead of a regular RS convert.

I think it started in 97 when they changed to the new style interior.

New style interior? Sounds fancy. I'm obviously out of touch.

That's a surprisingly cheap price for a newer z28 with lower miles

The dealership should have one, ask them to run the report, any good dealership should give you one.

Just beware that any report may not have all the real information about the car. The reports can be helpful, but are not totally reliable.

Sorry, that is very true, at the dealership I work at we use Carfax directly. I can tell you that they are one of the betters ones I have seen, although I have seen things wrong such as "calculated owners" as being too low where they had missed someone that had owned the car. But I have never seen major things such as accidents or frame damaged as being missed, although we inspect every car ourselves. If you have the knowledge, looking over the car is always the best.

From what I understand, CA and the west coast are filled with shiny, rust free sports cars for much coin than what we get here in the northeast. I would say that's overpriced for an auto with those miles, even for my area. Try CL because that's LS1 A4 money.

But if it were me, I wouldn't even consider an automatic car.

Get a stick. Even if you hold out for a catfish, it will be more fun to drive with a stick.

Too expensive IMO. Not too long ago, a local dealer had a 97 ws6 with half of those miles for around 6500. Really clean car too.

If it were a SS, then it would be a better deal, but not a z28. (i know theyre the same performance wise)
