3rd Gen Firehawk Wheels. I found a set at of these wheels but I have no idea what they're worth. They look like repops but they do have the Firehawk center caps. Anyone out there know how to ID these things? And if they're worth buying? They are being sold at $300.

There was actually 7 1991's and 19 1992's. I owned # 006.
If memory serves they were Ronal wheels. Pretty rare but they do remake them again. But they are over 1200 for a set new.
If no bends and can prove originality...prolly work near $1000.

Yes. They were Ronal R15s. Ronal occasionally has reproduced these wheels over the years, but they are not an always-available item. I had a friend that bought a set from Ronal back around 2006 or so, they were doing another production run at that time. Not sure if they have run any more since then.

I would have to say if they are unpainted they are repro's They all had the color matched inlaid for the car they came on. To my knowledge none of them were totalled so I would think the possibility of them being orig. is very limited.
Still very rare and cool wheels though and should be worth a pretty penny.

But I'm not sure that any of them can be considered "repros" exactly, so long as they were made by the original manufacturer (Ronal). It would be similar to buying original GM parts from a GM dealer parts counter for your 4th gen that weren't originally installed on the assembly line but are otherwise identicle. Post-assembly and NOS inventory are never considered to to be reproductions if it was still made by the same OEM.
None of the wheels were VIN stamped, and I don't believe they were date coded either.

I agree about the color matched inlays. This was standard on the original Firehawks, but an option on the later production runs of these wheels direct from Ronal.

SLP has sold HUNDREDS of sets of those wheels over the years. I bought a used set with good tires back in 2004 for $600.
Maybe you'll find a buyer for them that will pay what people claim they are worth. When I bought mine they were multiple sets for sale any they all sat in the classifieds for weeks. I saw the same thing happen back in 2008-2009.

Yup...wheels go in cycles like that for sure. lol. Not sure what causes it. Just gotta hope you have the right ones at the right time to sell when they are in demand haha!
