Default Which Table In EFI-Live To Adjust For Hanging Idle

I have my idle dialed in just right, got the low speed bucking eliminated but my idle is hanging around 1800rpm anytime I grab the clutch. As soon as the car comes to a stop it immediately drops back to normal. Changing the throttle cracker hasnt made any difference at all, i have only made minor changes to the throttle follower but havent seen any change at all.

Hard to help without seeing the tune. Post up the tune and I'll take a look.

Sorry it took me so long to get it uploaded, I have been trying a few things on my own. I feel like my base spark is wrong. I had changed it some which did away with my hanging idle. But I could get the car to pull low end. I would have to give it 50% throttle position just for it to pull off from a stop. Im not sure if timing is too high off throttle causing it, or if there is just too big of a jump from the 800rpm row on up through 1200rpm and 1600rpm rows. From 20* in the 800rpm up to 37* in the 1600rpm row seems like a big gap, but then again I dont know whats normal.

i can't look at the tune on this computer, but try disabling your "rolling idle"... assuming you're using the 2002 OS.

I am using the 02 OS, I wondered what that did, it is activated but the table appears to be zero. How does it work to control idle?

Your rolling idle is not active. It isn't in almost all the original tunes I've seen.

I've never seen a stock tune with rolling idle turned on. Anyone know of one?

Hanging idle can be affected by the throttle cracker, follower, and desired idle airflow. There are other minor air adders like for the AC, fans, and startup. Start by getting the desired idle airflow correct. Log MAF vs ECT to do this. Throttle cracker is dependent on speed and is probably to blame. Try zeroing it out to see if it is helps at all. You will likely need some throttle cracker airflow or it may try to die when rolling in neutral. Spark is probably not to blame.

How aggressive can I get with the throttle cracker? Should I zero it out even up to 2000 rpm?

M6 cars use the in gear table. How many IAC counts are you running at idle? Desired airflow is pretty high in your tune, but it all depends the tb, like hole size and blade position.

It has an SLP Throttle Body.

First thing you need to do is setup your scanner with the proper PIDs so you know where the airflow is coming from. That way you aren't guessing as to where to adjust for it.

Just zero it out to see if it has an effect. If it does, then raise it back up to your liking, or just use a stock table with a percentage removed. You also need to adjust the decay rate the same amount. But as I said, you need to get the idle desired airflow correct first.

Okay I have done the RAFIG process (not sure I did it right). It showed that I needed no changes at any engine temp what so ever, which makes me think I may have done something wrong.

Which way should I go with the cracker delay? Increase or decrease?

There are IAC throttle cracker and follower PIDS, but they aren't available on my 12212156 OS, not sure if they are on yours. You may want to log desired IAC airflow and IAC position, that's the best I could do. No need to mess with the delay, but you should adjust the decay rate as you adjust the airflow.

Sorry I meant decay. Should I increase decay or decrease decay when I decrease my throttle cracker?

Decrease the decay at the same rate as you decrease the airflow, and vice versa, this way it will always take the same amount of time to decay the airflow. You can adjust the settings independently also if you want to tailor it more to your liking.
