Default question on fitting wider tires and rims.

Im looking to put wider tires and rims on front and back of my 05 gto. Im looking at Avant Garde M359 rims 18x8.5 with 35mm offset in front and fitting 245/70R18 tires. And 18x9.5 with 33mm offset in rear with 275/40R18 tires. I plan on having to roll the rear fenders and maybe removing the rear shock covers. The car has also been lowered about an inch. Im hoping somebody can tell me if this will fit. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you need at least 45mm offset in the rear and 40mm up front.

Any ideas on a similar setup that would work would be helpful, just looking to have those style 18 inch wheels and a wider rear tire setup without to much trouble.

How about these:

I'd go 18x8.5 45mm offset up front and 18x9.5 50mm offset in the rear. You'll most likely need to roll your fenders though.

If you want flush, go 18x9.5 +35 in the front, 18x9.5 +45 in the rear. I have +35 front and even added some caster but no rub. And I wish my +50 rears were +45. The shock towers are irrelevant at these offsets.

Also OP, your tire sizes are incorrect. Your setup should be like this.

Front: 18x8.5 +35(or +45 for more conservative) 235/40R18 Fenders Rolled
Rear: 18x9.5 +45(or +50 for more conservative) 275/35R18 Fenders Rolled

Where did you get your vmr wheels, and about how much did they cost?

Directly from VMR, and VMR charges 999$ for a whole set of 19s. The 18s are a bit cheaper.

Not sure which centerbore option i need. Has your car been lowered? And you haven't had any rubbing issues with the fenders rolled? I'm kinda worried about the 8.5" in the front.

I had these rims at stock ride height. Haven't lowered it yet, coils will be here Monday.

Honestly, I didn't worry about centerbore. VMR only makes 1 size centerbore for the 5x120 and that's 72.6mm. If you want you can order the hub rings to make up the difference, but I haven't had any balancing issues.
