Default Routing Steam Tube To Water Pump??

I ordered a Griffin radiator and it only has 1 barb coming off of it to go the the overflow tank. My question is can I run the steam tube (the one from the back of the heads) to the top left heater hose spot (no heater anymore) or does it have to go to the rad?

I'm pulling my water pump off this week and will be pulling out the hose ends and plugging them with pipe plugs after I tap the pump. If I can plumb the steam tube to the pump it would be so much easier and cleaner than running it to the rad.

Thanks in advance

I'm talking about about running the steam tube to the top left metal hose end in this pic:

Can I do that or does it have to be to the radiator?

It would probably be ok, IMHO. That is the heater outlet port (coolant coming back from the heater core). It would be better if you used the return hose to the radiator, though. The 94 hose already has a tee (#14) in it for the steam line.

I agree, that nipple is on the inlet side of the pump. Mine is tied into the outlet hose as suggested which is the large nipple on the top right. It allows you to use any standard vented overflow tank.
