LS7 clutch good?
Hello all,
Building a turbo 4.8 camaro, have a t56 and need a clutch to support around 450rwhp/tq. Will the LS7 clutch work fine? if not is there an aftermarket clutch out there that will hold and not break the bank? Thanks

Should be good depending on how much you are going to beat on it and how. If a few trips down the qtr now and then and some spirited street driving then it should work for you. If you plan on multiple drag passes with 6000 rpm drops then it may not last long.
I've got a used one for sale $150 plus shipping.

It will work, but you can go with something a bit bigger to have more room in case you get more HP out of your motor. Would you have a limited budget to buy a clutch from?
A Monster Clutch will definately suit you good.

The LS7 is not really much of an upgrade over your stock parts. As mentioned the SAC plate design is problematic, especially when used aggressively. Check out the link below for info on a number of options that can easily meet your needs. Thanks
